PennDURO consists of a challenging 160km loop takes in some classic climbs around Calderdale, Haworth and Todmorden on a route which includes stone steps, singletrack, cobbles, drovers roads, quiet lanes and estate tracks. These test riders with a hearty >3,000m of climbing and enough technical challenges to keep you on your toes.
It is held on the first full weekend in October each year. #pennDURO21 will run on Saturday 2 October 2021:
The ride will be run in XDURO format - 5 timed segments comprised of gravel and road. Lots of time for socialising in the non-timed bits. Rider with the lowest aggregate time over the segments 'wins'*. *There are no entry fees, no prizes, and there is no support. You are entirely responsible for your own actions, only turn up to ride if you are comfortable with this (see Rules for more details). |

What bike shall I ride?
You'd ideally ride this on a gravel/adventure /cyclocross bike with ~35mm tyres or a XC MTB if you're opting for comfort over speed. Should I be a dick? On bridleway sections, always give priority to walkers and be courteous. In short, don't be a dick. |
