Bikes, Bees & Trees Rally:
  • Start: 6pm Friday 5 June 2026 from outside the Pump House, Bristol
  • End: afternoon of Sunday 7 June, Bristol

After a brilliant inaugural edition in April 2023 in the Scottish Highlands, and a recce to Heal Rewilding in October 2024, we're back heading for a party paced exploration of deepest Somerset.

We'll be riding a gravel-y route down south from Bristol to attend Day 2 of Heal Rewilding's Into The Light rewilding gathering, which includes inspiring talks/conversations with leading voices in the nature recovery space, set in Heal's beautiful Somerset rewilding site where we'll camp on both Fri & Sat night. And of course you could always just come for just the Fri night if you wanted a shorter trip.

Quick brekky on Sunday and ride back to Bristol or jump on a train home.

Route

The route is now live, please download below.

The route out on Day 1 (yellow) is moderately direct at 56km to Heal. The route home on Day 2 (blue, 75km) is a bit more windy and takes in the Mendips on route.

The distance/elevation stats don't do the routes justice... the off-road sections are serious in places (especially in the wet due to the nature of the rocks), and so you should be prepared for anything and take things slowly. Although there is a lot of road, grippy tyres are essential; alternatively feel free to tweak to make all road.
