On Sat 3 June 2017 there will be a Memorial Ride for Mike Hall, arriving at the campsite at Ty Mawr farm (52.395592, -3.834189) in the early afternoon (this is 9km south of CP3). Keen racers are not obliged to stop at the farm and continue down to Cardiff as originally planned; whoever gets to Cardiff Bay Barrage first will be the winner of the inaugural TransWalesRace. However some riders will stop at the farm to celebrate the life of a man who helped shape ultra-distance cycle racing... they will try to intercept the Memorial Ride, then spend the afternoon/evening having beers around the campfire, before bivvying for the night. For these riders, the race will resume at 6am Sunday morning. Evening food/drink will be provided by Mike's friends but you must register by 5pm Friday 26 May 2017 if you are planning to attend.
